Ethiopian distance running star Haile Gebrselassie will compete at this year's edition of the Berlin marathon. Tergat ran the record 2003 in Berlin and Gebrselassie will have likely had that in mind when he agreed to run in the German capital on September 24.

McDonald took to the streets of Hopkinton and after almost 6 hours of running in the cool April breeze, she crossed the finish line at Copley Square with a huge smile on her face. Not only had she finished the infamous 26.2 mile race, she had also succeeded in raising at least several thousand dollars for Horizons for Homeless Children.
