A sickly child, Michelle McCollum wasn’t supposed to finish life much less finish a marathon. She not only finished the Boston Marathon, but finished with a very respectable time of 3 hours, 37 minutes and 4 seconds.

Jamie Ahlstrom, daughter of Doug and Julie Ahlstrom, finished the race in three hours 45 minutes. Ken Spence finished just ahead of Ahlstrom at three hours 39 minutes.

Centerville High School cross country coach Cecil Franke won the 2006 Flying Pig Marathon in 2:20:25.
 
   Fastest Flying Pig Marathon Ever (The Cincinnati Post)
Cecil Franke, 38, of Dublin, Ind., set a course record in the eighth annual race by finishing the 26.2-mile course in 2:20:26. The previous record of 2:21:15 was set by Elly Rono of Evansville, Ind., in 1999, the inaugural Flying Pig.
