2005 field is limited to 9,000 people and marathon officials anticipate
registration to close quickly again this year. "We really encourage people
to act fast," says Scott Keenan, executive director of Grandma's Marathon.
"The best way to secure yourself a spot in the marathon is to complete and
mail your entry form back to us the very same day you receive it in the
mail."
For those who prefer to run shorter distances, Grandma's Marathon weekend
also features the Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon and the William A. Irvin
5K. Registration for these races will begin in February and March,
respectively. To obtain entry forms for either of these races, send a note
of request and a self-addressed, stamped, #10 business sized envelope to:
Grandma's Marathon, PO Box 16234, Duluth, Minn. 55816.

Kids, guest speaking presentations and the William A. Irvin 5K (6:00 p.m.).
