   ETHIOPIAN DUO TRIUMPH IN BEIRUT (Sporting Life)
An Ethiopian man and woman were winners at the Beirut International Marathon. Tamrat Elanso, running alone after 35K, set a new PR while claiming the victory in 2:19:46. David Kiplagat Kuino of Kenya was the second finisher just three seconds ahead of Ethiopian Abraham Yilma Belete. Jemilu, who was third in the 2006 Dubai Marathon was the winner in 2:41:24. Ethiopians Meseret Legese Regesa (2:48:52) and Etaferahu Tarekegn Getahun (2:55:14) finished second and third respectively.
 
   Ethiopian Wins Beirut Marathon (An-Nahar)
Tamrat Elanso of Ethiopia was the winner of the Beirut International Marathon in 2:19:46. David Kiplagat Kuino of Kenya was second in 2:21:51. Abraham Yilma Belete of Ethiopia was third in 2:21:54.

The impressive athletics collection of the Berlin Sports Museum which incorporates the AIMS Marathon Museum of Running, was recently augmented with the kit from Haile Gebrselassie’s World record run at the 2007 Berlin Marathon. The museum also has shoes from Tegla Loroupe and a comic book about Naoko Takahashi

The journey to conquer Everest began 11 months ago for Escott. The kiwi will arrive some 5000 meters up on the trail to begin the marathon ascent up Mt Everest along with 15 other Aucklanders attempting to conquer the highest and most extreme marathon on the planet.
 
   Mt. Everest Marathon will be a peak challenge for marathon runner Pushpa Chandra. (The Province)
Chandra will run the 42 kilometer Mt Everest Marathon from the Everest Base Camp and finish in the Sherpa town of Namache Bazaar with the added stress of temperatures averaging -20 C and winds in excess of 160km/hr
