		10th Antarctica Marathon on tap (Universal Sports) Despite sub freezing temperatures and a cost of nearly two-hundred dollars per mile, the tenth Antarctica Marathon has been sold out for years. There are only 200 spots available for the twenty-six point two mile race and the 2010 and 2011 events are already sold out with the 2012 even filling quickly.

		19 year old wins 41st Birch Bay Marathon (Bellingham Herald) The forty-first annual Birch Bay Marathon was held on Sunday and a 19-year-old University of Washington student, Patrick Wauters, won the men's marathon race with a time of 2 hours, 55 minutes, 30 seconds. Winning the race for the women was Jenny Hortsmann who ran the 26.2 mile race in 3 hours, 20 minutes and 52 seconds

Portugal's Antonio Sousa, vacationing in Florida, was first overall in the male category with course record time of 2 hours 26 minutes and 22 seconds.
