		Former KU Athlete Higgins Top American Female Finisher At Boston Marathon (Lawrence Journal-World & News) Paige Higgins took home thirteenth place in the women's divistion of the Boston Marathon by clocking a time of 2 hours and 36 minutes. She is a former Kansas University track and field standout.

		Marathon Runner In His 60s Saved By Runners, Spectators And EMTs (Boston Globe) A man in his sixties was resuscitated after collapsing to the street in a full cardiac arrest during the Boston Marathon. Spectators began CPR and brought the runner back to consciousness.
