Lesothos men clean up in Cape Town Marathon (The Times) Perfect pacing by the trio of men from Lesotho's allowed them to take the top three spots as ideal condition prevailed over their 26.2 mile race. Neo Molema opened the race with several kilometers under the 3 minute mark. Enos Matalane caught him at the 12 kilometer mark. He too faded and was overtaken by eventual winner Motlokoa Nkhabutlane near the 30 kilometer mark. Nkhabutlane would go on for the win in 2 hours and 16 minutes. | ||

Aas, Brosius win 46th annual Equinox Marathon (News Miner) Harold Aas won the 46th annual Equinox Marathon in 2 hours, 50 minutes, 12 seconds. The out-and-back course from the University of Alaska Fairbanks Patty Center to the top of Ester Dome was Aas debut marathon last year. He led through the 17 mile mark and began to fade in the hills. This year he knew the course and ran to an impressive victory with the 16th fastest time in course history. | ||
