		Almost last, but no loser at City of Oaks Marathon (The News and Observer) Cassidy Sitton did not finish last in the City of Oaks Marathon despite her time of 6 hours and 45 minutes. At 24 years of age, most would think the triathlete could have mustered a slightly better performance. She only ran 2 miles the week before as a training plan.

Those athletes or relay team members hoping for a spot in the race will need to get registered quickly before the final 500 spots are taken.

The San Antonio Marathon will boast approximately 50 live bands along the course and a huge headliner concert in the evening featuring the rock band The Cult.

	Chickamauga Battlefield Marathon

		Runners take places in Chickamauga Battlefield Marathon (The Catoosa County News) The 29th annual Chickamauga Battlefield marathon saw a record number of participants. Over 600 runners entered the marathon and 700 participants signed up for the half marathon. Nearly 23 miles of the course wandered through the Chickamauga & Chattanooga National Military Park.

The training series starts in December and runs up to February just days before the marathon.

She is doing more at the age of 90 than some people half her age. She will be running her fifth Honolulu marathon this year and hopes to beat her time of 8 hours and 36 minutes from 2006.

		Ladd wins Harrisburg Marathon (The Patriot News) From the gun Lowell Ladd lead the the Harrisburg Marathon and won the overall title with a time of 2 hours and 34 minutes. His time was rather impressive considering the full plate of coaching that he maintains.
