The Indiapolis Monumental Marathon will canvass most of the northern half of the downtown area. More than three-thousand walkers and runners will cause roads to close from 5 am through nearly 2 pm.

Four Ethiopian runners from the Bronx drove to the Manchester City Marathon in a rented vehicle and all four returned with victories. Fikadu Lemma won the overall marathon with a time of 2 hours 23 minutes and 46 seconds.

   Davis, Johnston Take Marshall University Marathon Titles (Herald-Dispatch)
John Davis was a repeat winner at the Marshall University Marathon with a time of 2 hours 43 minutes and 56 seconds. Josh Hite took home seconds place with a time of 2 hours 49 minutes and 21 seconds.
