		California International Marathon draws record crowd (NEWS 10) The 26th California International Marathon kicked off with more than 11600 participants. Halefom Abebe, from Ethiopa, won the mens 2 hours and 16 minutes. Natalia Sokolova of St. Petersburg, Russia won on the women's marathon, finishing in 2 hours and 32 minutes.

(El Dorado Hills Telegraph) The California International Marathon saw conditions and a course that allowed for a great competition and thousands of runners to compete. Many local runners who did not achieve their time goal were still very satisfied with the race.

Despite using the approved Jones counter to measure the course many of the 17000 runners will dispute the final distance of the race.
		Time to follow the leader at the Dallas White Rock Marathon (Dallas News) Darris Blackford of Columbus Ohio will run his one-hundred and twentieth marathon in Dallas this coming Sunday. Blackford is part of the Clif Bar pace team at the Dallas White Rock Marathon and the aim to run even mile splits to help other runners run a goal time for the marathon.

		Local wins Las Vegas Marathon by 32 seconds (San Francisco Chronicle) Abebe Yimer, 28 won the Las Vegas Marathon with a time of 2 hours, 27 minutes and 27 seconds. 		Miramar's Ronnie Holassie wins close men's race at Marathon of Palm Beaches (Palm Beach Post) Defending Marathon of the Palm Beaches Champion Paul Rugut of Kenya ran side by side with Miramar's Ronnie Holassie for much of the fifth annual Marathon of the Palm Beaches. Holassie would win by 2 seconds to dethrone the defending champion.
		Lee DiPietro, 50, is oldest marathon winner at Marathon of the Palm Beaches (Sun Sentinel) At 50 years of age, Lee DiPietro is the oldest woman to win the Marathon of the Palm Beaches with an impressive time of 2 hours 55 minutes and 41 seconds. 	Pune International Marathon

		Utter chaos mars Pune Marathon (DNA India) The 23rd Vodafone Pune International Marathon was won by Nelson Kurwa Rotich of Kenya. His winning marathon time was 2 hours 17 minutes and 45 seconds. At least 15 other athletes were disqualified for not following the official course route.

		Rocket City Marathon to benefit from strong local entries (The Huntsville Times) Huntsville's 32 Annual Rocket City Marathon will kick off at 8 am from downtown. Around 1400 runners will hit the streets with local runners David Riddle and Caitlin Heider who ran 1 hour and 8 minutes and 1 hour and 20 minutes respectively in the Huntsville half-marathon last month.

		Castille, Ray Capture Baton Rouge Beach Marathon Titles (The Advocate) Kevin Castille ran away with the Baton Rouge Beach Marathon with a time of 2 hours 47 minutes. Autumn Ray won the womens overall marathon title with a time of 2 hours 58 minutes and 57 seconds for a new course record.
