		Kenyan Native Wins Baton Rouge Beach Marathon In Record Time (Advocate) Samson Kipchirchir won the Baton Rouge Beach Marathon with a time of 2 hours 34 minutes and 57 seconds.
		Kenya Native Wins BR Marathon in Record Time (2TheAdvocate) Having waited too long to enter the St. Jude Memphis Marathon, former University of South Alabama runner Samson Kipchirchir outlasted the field to win the Baton Rouge Marathon in an event record 2:34:57. Charlestown, Indiana's Traci Falbo won the women's event in 3:14:20, setting a personal best.

Judges deemed the actions acceptable as Gebre was not allowed to have energy drinks designated for the top invited women.
