Jessica Jacobs won her second consecutive Mercedes-Benz Marathon in Birmingham. The 33 year-old finished first among all female competitors in the 26.2 mile race with a time of 2 hours 54 minutes and 53 seconds.

The sixth annual Surfside Beach Marathon was held on Sunday along the beaches of Texas. Stephen Baumgartner, Houston, defended his title by winning the overall marathon with a time of 2 hours 49 minutes and 45 seconds.
