		Marathon Ends With Winner Mix-Up (High Point Enterprise) Chuck Engle, Dublin Ohio, was the second runner to cross the marathon line at the North Carolina Marathon. But the first runner to cross did not register for the marathon and was disqualified allowing Engle to earn top honors.
		Wrong Path Sends Runner On A Marathon Of Twists And Turns (Hampton Roads) Ryan Carrol entered the half-marathon race in North Carolina but wound up on the marathon course which he finished only to be disqualified allowing Chuck Engle, who registered for the marathon, to earn the win notching his first win of 2010.

		Leader Runs Astray At Georgia Marathon, Disqualified (Atlanta Journal Constitution) Tesfaye Sendeku was following a pace-setting motorcycle and finished the Georgia Marathon with a time of 2 hours 15 minutes and was then disqualified for skipping an out and back loop near the twenty-two mile mark. Jynocel Basweti was declared the eventual winner with a time of 2 hours 20 minutes and 49 seconds.
