Temperatures in the high forties to low fifties greeted runners for the twelfth annual Ocean Drive Marathon. Chuck Engle of Dublin Ohio won the race with a time of 2:42:04.

Kathy Wolski won the woman's title at the Knoxville Marathon with a time of 3 hours 2 minutes and 11 seconds. Geoffrey Kiprotich led the men's field from start to finish to win with a time of 2 hours 23 minutes and 22 seconds.
