While eighteen student were busy spreading the healthy word about not smoking, first time marathon runner Austin Schiele of Hudson, Ohio won the overall marathon title with a time of 2 hours 44 minutes and 25 seconds.

Jay Punke has not let the diminutive appearance of most elite runners frighten him away from the marathon distance. Punke is preparing for the Grandma's Marthon in Duluth.    Kipruto wins in Paris Marathon (Sky Sports)
Twenty-one year old Vincent Kipruto surged late in the Paris to not only win the 26.2 mile race but set a new course record by 49 seconds. His winning time of 2 hour 5 minutes and 44 seconds.
