		Over 1,000 racers to Run Charlevoix (Charlevoix Courier) Well over one-thousand runners from around the world are expected to descend on Charlevoix to run races from the 5K up the the marathon. Some of the most scenic trails are used for the course.

		Did the Grandma's Marathon timing chips slip? (Duluth News Tribune) The Grandma's marathon received twenty-five to thirty emails or phone calls on Monday from race participants whose timing chips failed to register their official time at the finish line. The timing chip simply didn't work for several runners, mostly in the marathon.

		Kenyan wins Manitoba Marathon (Winnipeg Free Press) Rising heat and windy conditions didn't slow Hillary Cheruiyot, Kenya, from winning the Manitoba Marathon in wire to wire fashion with a time of 2 hours 27 minutes and 29 seconds. Cindy Sondag of Grand Forks, North Dakota took home the women's top spot with a time of 3 hours 12 minutes and 9 seconds.

		Marathon ahead: Brooklyn man outruns years and youngsters (New York Daily News) Andre Exume, 74, is hoping to run the New York City Marathon. Grandpa Exume finished last years race in 6 hours and 45 minutes and plans on doing much better by running ten miles each morning to prepare for this years race.
