Anthony Gaskell who is sixty-nine years of age finished the London Marathon in 3 hours and 5 minutes. He was set to receive an award until it was discovered that to run the fast time he had to run the last 13.1 miles of the race in under an hour. Gaskell admitted to taking a "short cut" in the race.
