   Helena native wins Missoula Marathon in record time (Missoulian)
Kiefer Hahn, who is a fitness trainer in Missoula, smashed his own course record on Sunday in the Missoula Marathon. Hahn waited until the last possible moment to register and never looked at his watch winning the marathon with a time of 2 hours 33 minutes and 17 seconds.
 
   Records fall at 2009 Missoula marathon (KECI)
Race organizers reported that cool weather on Sunday led to record setting times for the third annual Missoula Marathon. Kiefer Hahn of Missoula won the men's marathon with a time of 2 hours 33 minutes and 21 seconds. Annie Thiessen set a new women's marathon record on her way to winning with a time of 2 hours 57 minutes and 45 seconds.

Participants from around the nation showed up for a 6 am marathon start in the Garden City of Missoula Montana. Saturday night allowed the city to host a non-competitive 5 kilometer race in conjunction with the marathon. Record numbers were produced for each race
