The Cellcom Green Bay Marathon is donating a record $45,000 to charity this year, spliting it among each of three charity partners — The Salvation Army, Habitat for Humanity, and the American Red Cross.

Budhia Singh, five-year-old Indian boy famous for running marathons, has made public statements about how his coach, Biranchi Das, tortured him. Das punished him by keeping him confined in a room without food for two days, beat me with a hot iron rod, tied him to a ceiling fan and threw hot water over his body. Das, who had adopted the boy when his mother was unable to feed her four children, denies all allegations.
