   Air Force Marathon Fees Increase August 2 (WHIOTV.com)
The fees for the U.S. Air Force Marathon, half-marathon and 5K will be increasing on August 2. The marathon and the half will increase ten dollars and the 5K will go up by five dollars with the 10K remaining the same.

Nancy Rossi-Fogle found out she was pregnant and had a bleeding ulcer after she finished a grueling march of 26.2 miles while finishing the Boston Marathon in 3 hours and 51 minutes. Perserverance was only half of her battle.

Nearly three-hundred runners showed up to support their physical fitness and local charities by competing in the Carrollton Festival of Races. Andres Pelikan of Kirkwood Missouri won the overall marathon with a time of 3 hours 5 minutes and 48 seconds.

The Chennai Marathon was slated to take place on August 22 has been moved to September 27 to prevent any conflicts with the World Track and Field Championships being held in Berlin from August 15 to 23.

Julius Maratim won the Cities Marathon on Sunday with a time of 2 hours 23 minutes and 12 seconds. Magda Karimalipoulos won the women's marathon title for the third year in a row.

The Twenty-fifth Los Angeles Marathon is making a move to March 21st and adding a subtitle of Stadium to Sea for the marathon course. The 26.2 mile race will begin at Dodger Stadium and finish at the ocean in Santa Monica

The Frank Maier Marathon was held in Juneau Alaska over the weekend. The winning time for men's race was delivered by Snider who ran a time of 2 hours 55 minutes and 16 seconds.

   Grizzly Marathon road races draw 437 runners to Choteau (Acantha)
Choteau Montana played host to the Grizzly Marathon events and more than 437 runners took advantage of the days activities. Chuck Engle took home top honors with a time of 2 hours 58 minutes and 17 seconds on the tough, hilly, gravely course.

Glenn Marvin ran the Tenzing Hillary Everest Marathon on May 29 after a two-week long sickness and very little sleep. Marvin went on to an orphanage where ten-thousand dollars that he raised is being used to provide home and schooling to orphans and destitute children.
