		Runners Gear Up For the Bank of America Chicago Marathon 2009 (MyBankTracker) The first Chicago Marathon was held in 1977 with four-thousand, two-hundred runners. This year the runners can go to the website and design their shoe tread for the race and a one-dollar donation will be sent to one of twenty-five charities.

		Kenyan Runner Wins City to Surf Marathon (WAtoday.com.au) Joel Kiplimo Kemboi won the 2009 City to Surf marathon with a time of just over 2 hours and 15 minutes as Kenyans went 1,2 in the thirty-fifth year with over forty-thousand competitors.

		Njenga and Shimahara win Hokkaido Marathon (IAAF.org) Laban Kagika left the pack of lead runners around the ten kilometer mark of the 26.2 mile marathon. He would go on tow win the marathon with a time of 2 hours 12 minues and 3 seconds

		Winners in Local Marathon Fundraiser (The Press Democrat) Hundreds of runners traversed the paths of Santa Rosa for the first annual Santa Rosa Marathon. Cool weather allowed for a smooth race as Jeff Gardina of Santa Clara ran a quick 2 hours 30 minutes and 5 seconds to walk away with top honors.
