Dave Johnson of Xenia Ohio is a cancer survivor. He can now add marathon champion to his list of successes. Johnson won the Air Force Marathon with a time of 2 hours 30 minutes and 42 seconds.

   Haile Gebrselassie Wins the Berlin Marathon (2:06:08), But No New World Record (Examiner.com)
Haile Gebrselassie won his fourth title at the Berlin Marathon on Sunday morning missing his own marathon world record by finishing with a time of 2 hours 6 minutes and 8 seconds.
 
   Gebrselassie retains Berlin crown (BBC Sports)
Haile Gebrselassie took home his fourth title at the Berlin Marathon with a time of 2 hours 6 minutes and 8 seconds in very warm conditions which hampered his attempt to break his own world record.

Joe Mahoney, a native to Bismark, won the Bismark Marathon with a time of 2 hours 32 minutes and 58 seconds which was more than nine minutes better than second place.

   Saari Cruises to Second Equinox Triumph in Three Years (Daily News Miner)
Matias Saari won his second Equinox Marathon with a time of 2 hours 51 minutes and 5 seconds in what has been called one of the most grueling marathons in the country.

   Pasadena Marathon is Slowly Finding the Right Path (Pasadena News Star)
The inaugural Pasadena Marathon was canceled two hours prior to the start due to smoke from nearby forest fires. The rescheduled race was held in a pouring rainstorm. The 2010 race seems to be finding a good groove.

Julius Seurei won the Sydney Marathon with a time of 2 hours 17 minutes and 7 seconds. More than thirty-thousand runners participated in the Sydney Marathon Running Festival.
