		Young Wolverine cruises to victory in USAF Marathon (Dayton Daily News) At 19 years of age, Nathan Peters, a sophomore from the University of Michigan ran away from the field at the Air Force Marathon. His time of 2 hours 30 minutes and 27 seconds was a personal best for the high mileage runner and youngest winner of the 26.2 mile race.

		BayState Marathon no longer a secret (Worcester Telegram and Gazette) The Bay State Marathon had an impressive 33% of its participants in the 2007 edition qualify for the Boston Marathon. The secret is out and the field for the marathon is closed for this years October, 19 race. The 1,500 cap was announced on August 31.

		Lesothos men clean up in Cape Town Marathon (The Times) Perfect pacing by the trio of men from Lesotho's allowed them to take the top three spots as ideal condition prevailed over their 26.2 mile race. Neo Molema opened the race with several kilometers under the 3 minute mark. Enos Matalane caught him at the 12 kilometer mark. He too faded and was overtaken by eventual winner Motlokoa Nkhabutlane near the 30 kilometer mark. Nkhabutlane would go on for the win in 2 hours and 16 minutes.

		Holland, Seigh Triumph In Dutchess County Classic Marathon (Poughkeepsie Journal) Holland caught and passed limping leader and former two-time champion Anthony Nero with a mile to go to win the Dutchess County Classic Marathon. His time was a personal-best 2:54.49.
		New Winners, New Record at Dutchess County Classic (Poughkeepsie Journal) In the marathon, Connie Seigh of Pleasant Valley and the host Mid-Hudson Road Runners Club won the women's title. Men's winner Tom Holland of Darien, Conn., took first overall in a personal-best time of 2:54:49.

		Aas, Brosius win 46th annual Equinox Marathon (News Miner) Harold Aas won the 46th annual Equinox Marathon in 2 hours, 50 minutes, 12 seconds. The out-and-back course from the University of Alaska Fairbanks Patty Center to the top of Ester Dome was Aas debut marathon last year. He led through the 17 mile mark and began to fade in the hills. This year he knew the course and ran to an impressive victory with the 16th fastest time in course history.

		Weisse Family Breaks World Record At Fox Cities Marathon (The Northwestern) The 13 family siblings broke a world record for most siblings to complete the same marathon.
		Thousands Participate In Fox Cities Marathon (WFRV) More than 6,000 people gathered at the starting line this morning and took off running from UW-Fox Valley for the 26.2 mile trek that ended in Neenah's Riverside Park.

		Levash, Pierson win Fox Cities Marathon (Appleton Post Crescent) James Levash would not be denied his return trip to the Fox Cities Marathon. Last year Levash cramped up late in the race while leading and would have to walk in for third place. This year he took the lead early and went on to win in 2 hours, 33 minutes, 25 seconds. He averaged 5:52 per mile.
