David Herr returned to defend his Adirondack Marathon title. This year he brought his wife and stayed in a hotel. The result was a new course record in a time of 2 hours 35 minutes and 38 seconds.

D.J. Dryer from Florida is running a marathon every weekend. This weekend he will not be in New York to run the Adirondak Marathon but he will run a mirror race in Afghanistan from his military base.
