		First-Timers End Up in First Place at Akron Marathon (Cleveland Plain Dealer) Richard Chelimo won the Akron Marathon with a time of 2 hours 27 minutes and 21 seconds on a rain soaked course. Hirut Mandefro, Ethiopia, won the women's marathon with a time of 2 hours 51 minutes and 59 seconds.

		Rain Cannot Slow Down the 32nd Running of the Clarence Demar Marathon (The Keene Sentinel) Justin Fyffe won his second straight Clarence Demar Marathon in dark and dreary condition with a time of 2 hours 34 minutes and 47 seconds. Holly Parker took home the women's title with a time of 3 hours 7 minutes and 22 seconds.
	Lake Tahoe Marathon

		Favorite Meissner Wins Lake Tahoe Marathon for First Time (Tahoe Daily Tribune) Sean Meissner won one of the warmest Lake Tahoe Marathons in the event history with a time of 2 hours 58 minutes easily outdistancing other marathon runners. Gretchen Brugman won the women's title.

		Lesotho's Sello, Tjoka Triumph Again (IOL.CO.ZA) Tebogo Sello won the Blue IQ City2City Marathon with a time of 2 hour 58 minutes and 5 seconds. While the prize purse was the largest offered in South Africa, Sello stated he just wanted to win.
	Omaha Marathon

		Omahans Own Marathon (Omaha World Herld) Mike Vance won the Omaha Marathon with a late surge past race leaders. Vance took top honors with a time of 2 hours 41 minutes and 23 seconds. Lauren Kilima won the women's title in 3 hours 4 minutes and 19 seconds.

		Newcomers Dominate Quad Cities Marathon (Quad City Times) Henry Kipsang, a twenty-year old Kenyan, knocked off a two-time champion on his way to winning the Quad Cities Marathon with a time of 2 hours 19 minutes and 15 seconds under perfect conditions.
