Army Ten-Miler Partners with MarathonGuide.com

America's largest ten-mile race, the Army Ten-Miler, announced yesterday that they have partnered with the popular website, MarathonGuide.com, for on-line registration and other web services.

Race director Jim Vandak commented in a press release: "We anticipate runners will be pleased with the new features and improvements that we are making to our website, registration, and team management."

The new site is targeted for roll-out on Apr. 3, while the race itself --the 22nd annual-- is scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 8.

MarathonGuide.com is mostly a community website for marathon runners. It offers marathon calendars, reviews and a massive database of athlete results, including those of citizen runners. Site founder John Elliot has downloaded entire marathon results databases to his site and combined them into a single database which makes it possible for marathon runners to search their own results across events and years.

About the new partnership with the Army Ten-Miler Elliot said: "The Army Ten-Miler is one of the leading running events in the USA and MarathonGuide.com is one of the leading website and registration providers.
