                     2008's Jungleman cancelled 

The organization of the Jungleman Marathon and Half Marathon has 
unfortunately announced this morning that the 2008's edition has been 
cancelled.
 
"Certain conditions, totally beyond our control, forced us to cancel the 
race, that was originally scheduled for February 23. It is really difficult 
to have the adequate circumstances when you practically don't have sponsors 
and live in a country where the Government's support virtually doesn't 
exist", PR Director Luis Rueda stated.
 
"All registered athletes will receive their money back, despite we have a 
non-refunds policy. It wasn't our fault, but it certainly wasn't theirs 
either. We worked really hard in order to beat all the negative situations 
that we faced this time, but the lack of budget is something that you can't 
overcome. I'm not sure even if we will ever organize it again. It's a 
pity", Rueda added.
 
The online registration was already shut down but the official website will 
remain operating to communicate every important news that the organizers 
consider necessary.
