Pacific Shoreline to Host USCAA Corporate Marathon Cup Championship
Huntington Beach, CA October 10th, 2006 - The United States Corporate
Athletic Association (USCAA) announced this week that it has selected the
Pacific Shoreline Marathon in Huntington Beach to be the site of the 2007
USCAA Corporate Marathon Cup Championship on February 4th.
"We looked at marathon events all over the country and through an
overwhelming popular vote, our membership selected the Pacific Shoreline
Marathon to host our Cup Championship," said USCAA Marathon Coordinator,
Chris Crawford.
"This is an opportunity to applaud the great achievements of corporate
marathon runners," said Amy Tomchak, Pacific Shoreline General Manager.
"They have shown they can maintain an active, healthy lifestyle, and excel
at their careers. We are proud to honor them at this year's event."
Participants in previous USCAA Marathon Cup Championships have included
such corporations as GE, AT&T, Lockheed Martin, HP, IBM, Principal
Financial, Coca-Cola, Booz Allen & Hamilton, Pacific Enterprises,
Pacific Telesis Group, US West and many more. Other companies, large and
small, are invited to participate at the Pacific Shoreline Marathon in
2007.

ABOUT PACIFIC SHORELINE MARATHON
The Pacific Shoreline Marathon takes place each year in Huntington Beach,
CA on Super Bowl Sunday. The eleventh annual event will be held on February
4th, 2007 with over 12,000 runners expected to participate in the Marathon,
Half-Marathon and 5K events. Weekend highlights include the two-day Active
Lifestyle Expo, free Salomon Shoes to all marathon finishers, the $11,000
Half Marathon Speed Bonus Prize Pool, and Classic Surfboard Medals for all
race participants. This popular Surf City event is expected to attract more
than 30,000 people to Huntington Beach over Super Bowl Weekend.
