FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
St. Mary's Medical Center Entrenched In
Eau Palm Beach Marathon and Run Fest Weekend
Emergency room physicians and six ER nurses from St. Mary's Medical Center
and the Palm Beach Children's Hospital will man the finish line Medical
Tent of the EAU Palm Beach Marathon and Run Fest course December 7 in
Downtown West Palm Beach, a race produced by Life Time - The Healthy Way of
Life Company (NYSE: LTM).
St. Mary's became the official medical sponsor of the EAU Palm Beaches
Marathon and Run Fest 12 years ago because it likes to encourage members of
the community to be active and wants them to get the best possible care if
an injury occurs. Runners will sometimes require assistance to some degree
during the course of the race, ranging from falls to dehydration and
overheating to more common ankle and knee injuries, blisters, muscle
cramps, and headaches.
"By being the medical tent sponsor of the Marathon of the Palm Beaches, it
allows our staff of physicians and nurses to not only showcase the
wonderful work they do each day at St. Mary's Medical Center, but to help
the runners, and spectators in need of medical care throughout the day
before, during, and after the race," said David Carbone, CEO of St. Mary's
Medical Center.
St. Mary's Medical Center offers a broad array of adult and pediatric
services with more than 175 doctors representing more than 30 specialties,
