MARATHON OF THE PALM BEACHES "HIRES" DONALD TRUMP'S
"TRUMP ICE" AS OFFICIAL RACE WATER
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (March 24, 2004) - Participants of the inaugural
Marathon of the Palm Beaches will reach for "the Donald" to quench their
thirst as they pass the water stations that line the 26.2 mile course.
Part-time Palm Beach resident and real estate mogul, Donald Trump, has
signed on his latest product, Trump Ice, as the "Official Water of the
Marathon of the Palm Beaches." Trump's pure spring water will be
distributed at all marathon-related activities planned for the three-day
event weekend, which may include a Celebrity Mile at CityPlace and the
Sports and Fitness Expo at the Palm Beach County Convention Center. The
weekend culminates with the marathon and half-marathon on Sunday, Nov. 14,
from 6:00a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Mr. Trump is the latest in an impressive list of leading local, regional
and national businesses that have eagerly signed on to lay the foundations
for what is expected to become one of the most prestigious races on the
marathon circuit, drawing 3,500 runners in its first year. Other sponsors
to date include Marriott West Palm Beach, American Airlines, the Global
Housing Bureau, the Palm Beach County Convention & Visitor's Bureau, WPBF
Channel 25, The Palm Beach Post, ESPN Radio 760 AM, the Solid Waste
Authority, 97.9fm WRMF, Carey O'Donnell PR Group, Wilesmith Advertising &
Design; the City of West Palm Beach and Palm Beach County Commissioner Jeff
Koons.
To be held annually, the marathon is presented by the Chamber of Commerce
of the Palm Beaches. For more information about the Marathon of the Palm
Beaches, or to inquire about corporate sponsorship and volunteer
