MARATHON OF THE PALM BEACHES "SHIFTS INTO GEAR"
WITH PRESENTING SPONSOR PONTIAC-GMC
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (June 30, 2004) ¾ The Chamber of Commerce of the Palm
Beaches announced today that Pontiac-GMC has signed on as the official
presenting sponsor of the inaugural Marathon of the Palm Beaches.
Pontiac-GMC's vehicles, provided by the local Pontiac-GMC dealers, will be
featured at all events planned for the three-day race weekend, including
the Mayor's Celebrity Mile at CityPlace, the two-day Sports & Fitness Expo
and the Sponsor VIP party.
"The local Pontiac-GMC dealers thought this was a perfect fit for Pontiac,
reflecting the passion and performance of our vehicles like the GTO and
soon-to-be-released Pontiac G6. GMC represents the best, professional
grade trucks and SUVs that are durable, strong and long-lasting, echoing
the endurance need for a 26.2 mile race," said J. Schaffer, Pontiac

believe this event has all the makings of a huge success, and we're
confident it will instantly become one of the premier annual events in
South Florida."

be held on Nov.14, 2004 from 6:00 a.m. to noon. The 26.2-mile full
