Countdown to Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon Weekend is Underway!
St. Paul, Minn., September 27, 2024 - Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon
Weekend officially kicks off on Friday morning, October 4, with the opening
of the Health & Fitness Expo at Saint Paul RiverCentre. But event organizer
Twin Cities In Motion and its partners are offering opportunities to
runners and fans to "stride into" the event with events held earlier in the
week.
Monday Kick Off Event at the Twin Cities Motion Center
Twin Cities In Motion will welcome Marathon Weekend participants to its
Twin Cities Motion Center headquarters for a run and celebration to kick
off marathon week. The event will include runners, Motion Experts offering
last minute fueling and injury advice, and TCM Ambassadors plus giveaways
and a cheer sign-making station.

26.2: A Marathon Poster Show, Presented by Visit Saint Paul
Hosted by Summit Brewing Co., limited-edition Medtronic Twin Cities
Marathon-inspired posters, created by local artists will be on display and
available for purchase, with proceeds split between the artists and Twin
Cities In Motion's TC Kids Run Free program.

Shakeout Run with Olympian Dakotah Lindwurm, presented by Lagoon
After runners pick up their race numbers at the Health & Fitness Expo on
Friday, they can join homegrown Olympian Dakotah Lindwurm and Ryan Hurley
of Lagoon for a short run along the Mississippi River.

Speaking of Olympians … Mantz and Young Added to 10 Mile
2024 U.S. Olympic Marathon teammates Conner Mantz and Clayton Young have
just joined the men's field for the Medtronic TC 10 Mile! The former
Brigham Young University stars who finished eighth and ninth in the Olympic
Marathon in Paris this summer will join a field that could threaten the
course record of 46:06, set by Hillary Bor in 2022.

The media conference for 2024 Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon Weekend takes
place Monday, September 3, at 11 a.m. CDT on Zoom here: Join TCM President
Dean Orton and professional athletes set to compete in the Medtronic TC 10
Mile and Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon.
Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon Weekend Proper
Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon Weekend kicks off at 11 a.m. on Friday,
October 4, with the opening of the Health & Fitness Expo at Saint Paul
RiverCentre. The expo, which runs through Saturday evening, features more
than 75 exhibitors as well as packet pick up for the weekend's races.
The Saturday Events at the State Capitol grounds in St. Paul on October 5
include the TC 10K, presented by Dermatology Consultants, TC 5K, presented
by Fredrikson, and the Medtronic TC Family Events, which feature the KARE
11 Family Mile, the Half Mile, presented by iHeartRadio Minneapolis, and
the Toddler Trot and Diaper Dash.
The Medtronic TC 10 Mile kicks off Sunday racing on October 6 and is
followed by the signature event of the weekend, the Medtronic Twin Cities
Marathon. Additional information on all aspects of the Medtronic Twin
