Marine Corps Marathon Takes Flight with Sponsor JetBlue Airways
QUANTICO, Va. - (August 1, 2005) - The Marine Corps Marathon has announced
the low-fare, low-cost passenger airline JetBlue Airways will sponsor the
30th anniversary MCM to be held Sunday, October 30, 2005 in Washington, DC.
"JetBlue is pleased to be the partner airline for the Marine Corps
Marathon," said Lisa Borromeo, JetBlue's East Coast Sponsorship and Event
Coordinator. "This will be an opportunity for us to share the JetBlue
experience with both participants and attendees in an important region such
as Washington, DC where we currently offer service to Long Beach, Oakland,
Sacramento and San Diego, California, and Ft. Lauderdale, Florida from
Washington Dulles International Airport."
JetBlue will execute a number of strategic promotional opportunities
including front row viewing locations at the MCM start and finish with demo
JetBlue airline seats complete with JetBlue's in-flight entertainment
system and airfare giveaways and raffles at the MCM Celebration Pasta
Dinner on Saturday, October 29.
