"Really fast, flat course." (about: 2002)

The course goes either side of the Thames and uses a tow path for half of each lap. Start time of 8 AM !!

"Flat Course with some good scenery" (about: 2002)

You run the same loop three times with an extra bit once through Thames Ditton. The section along the river is pretty, and for a four hour runner pretty lonely third time around. Hardly any fans, but thanks must go to the american lady and her kids who braved the chilly rainy weather throughout giving great support. Good support at the finish too. It's low key and freindly, but you do feel a bit in the way of the shoppers, and some of the pavements were in real bad shape.

"Fast flat course largely by river Thames" (about: 1998)

I ran the 16 mile race as prep for the London marathon in 1998. It was a good experience. Organization was low key but efficient. Atmosphere was friendly and the majority of the route by the river Thames is scenic. Don't expect crowds of spectators but there were some very supportive locals who lent vocal support in the final stages - very welcome. The race seems to have grown in popularity each year.
