BERLIN MARATHON CLOSED
Limited Number of Entries Available Through Marathon Tours

BOSTON (June 20, 2002)- The Berlin Marathon, scheduled for September 29,
2002, has reached its 33,000 runner and 8,000 inline skater course limits
and entries are no longer being accepted by race officials. A limited
number of entries are still available to runners who book their travel

agency for the event. Trip reservations must be made by August 1, 2002
to ensure entry.

Regarded as one of the fastest courses in Europe, the Berlin Marathon is
best known for its world-class competition, huge field, fast and scenic
course, and superb spectator support. The Berlin course starts near
Charlottenburg Castle and passes through Brandenburg Gate before looping
through the old East Berlin. The course is completely flat and fast
finishing on the Kurfurstendamm, Berlin's main boulevard.

Berlin Marathon hotel packages range from $579 for a four-night stay at
the Crown Plaza Hotel, guaranteed race entry, full breakfast each day,
pre-race dinner, a half-day sightseeing tour and the on-site services of
the Marathon Tours Staff. Airfares are additional and can be quoted from
city of origin. For more information call Marathon Tours and Travel at
