The Forest City Road Races is the premier running event in London Ontario
Canada. This event offers a marathon, half marathon, 10K, 5K and 2.5K race.
In it's 23 year history, the event has raised over $700,000 for the Thames
Valley Children's Centre.

This year the races offer many new and exciting changes. The faster course
allows runners to experience the best of both worlds. The run starts in the
heart of downtown London then winds through the University of Western
Ontario. Runners enjoy the beautiful park system as well as the downtown
core. The course offers tranquil surroundings with a big city marathon
atmosphere. It has been certified by Bernie Conway for Canada and U.S
(Boston).

The organizers are having the races chip timed by Sports Stats. The awards
have been doubled with a time incentive for elite athletes. The focus of
the races is on the runners and their families. A brunch in the beautiful
Victoria Park at the start/finish line is offered free to runners families
and many new amenities will create a warm atmosphere for families on
Mother's Day.

The 2005 Forest City Road Races weekend starts on Saturday May 7th 2005
with the new and improved runners expo at Centennial Hall in downtown
London. Participants and the public can browse the exhibitors in an
informative retail setting. The carbo-loading pasta dinner hosted by
Marshall's Pasta Mill is scheduled from 6PM to 8PM with members of
Orchestra London playing for guests.
