Prize Purse Increased for 2009 Eye-Q Two Cities Marathon & Half Marathon

Fresno, CA- California's San Joaquin Valley's Largest Marathon, Eye-Q Two
Cities Marathon and Half, announces the raising of their 2009 prize purse
to $10,000.

To attract national runners the directors elected to double the prize purse
to $10,000 for the 2009 event, which takes place on November 8th, 2009.
Along with the prize purse increase the directors also increased the 2008
sold-out field from 3,000 to 5,000 in 2009. "If early entry is any
indication the event will sell out again in 2009", says Executive Director
Mike Herman.

Besides the prize purse, a revised course will make a much faster course
for 2009, making it much more attractive for elite runners and anyone
wanting to PR or qualify for Boston.

The cities of Fresno and Clovis will be welcoming participants from around
the world and are looking forward to showing off what the area has to
offer.
