APPLETON – Registration is now open for the 23rd annual Community First Fox

The weekend of events features a few venue changes this year, starting with
the Guardian Kids Fun Run returning to Time Warner Cable Field at Fox
Cities Stadium on Friday, Sept. 20. The Humana Health and Wellness Expo on
Friday and Saturday, Sept. 20-21, has moved to the University of
Wisconsin-Fox Valley Fieldhouse in Menasha, which is near the starting line
for Sunday's race events.
Also new this year is the Affinity Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine 5K
Run/Walk to be held on Saturday, Sept. 21, at Riverside Park, Neenah, with
participants running or walking the final mile along Lake Winnebago and
past the Kimberly Point Lighthouse to the park.
The weekend will culminate with the 26.2-mile Community First Fox Cities
Marathon on Sunday, Sept. 22, along with the ThedaCare Orthopedics Plus
Half Marathon and Orthopedic & Sports Institute Relay Marathon. The Sunday
events will again start on Midway Road by the UWFV campus in Menasha and
travel through seven Fox Cities communities, ending at Riverside Park in
Neenah.
Early bird registration will save participants $15 on the half and full
marathon before the fee goes up May 1, 2013.
The Community First Fox Cities Marathon provides a healthy weekend of five
running or walking events for any age or ability. Over 7,500 people
