Out-and-back, moderately hilly, sea-level course along the North Douglas Highway - a paved, low traffic, 2-lane road.  Forest, mountain, and ocean vistas along route. 1/2 Marathon has 130 runners.

First-time marathoner sets record in Frank Maier race

First time marathoner Shawn Miller broke the course record at the 11th annual Frank Maier Memorial Marathon, despite cramping calf muscles that forced him to run a nearly 15 minute 26th mile.
