The last Denver Marathon will occur this Sunday. Starting in 2010 the race will be branded as one of the Rock N Roll Marathons which makes Denver the fifteenth marathon to come under the control of Competitor Group.

Runners who complete the Denver Marathon this weekend and who have completed the Rocky Mountain half-marathon in June will be awarded the Mile High Medal for completing thirty-nine plus miles at five-thousand two hundred and eighty feet of elevation.
