The 10th annual Under Armour Baltimore Running Festival contributed an event record $27,879,215 to the city and state's economy according to a recent study by RESI, an economic research and consulting firm located at Towson University (see chart below). This past October the event attracted 22,438 runners, also an all-time high, and marked the eight consecutive year of at least 10% growth from the year prior. In all, 50 states and 24 countries were represented in the 2010 field.

David Rutoh won the Baltimore Marathon when he had only hoped to slip into the top ten as he faced a field of top-notch runners who had run much faster than Rutoh.
