David MacLennan won his fourth Blue Nose International Marathon title. His winning time was 2 hours 36 minutes and 5 seconds. Jen Nicholson was the top woman finisher with a time of 3 hours and 7 seconds.

Terry Melloy won last years Blue Nose International Marathon with a time of 2 hours 48 minutes and 45 seconds. The 49-year old will not be able to defend his title this year due to the onset of a leg injury that has him a bit bewildered.

With an altered race route and new colored race numbers, organizers of the Blue Nose Marathon feel they have corrected the hitches in last years set up. Race organizers are hoping that number reach nine thousand participants this year.

Organizers of the Inaugural Blue Nose Marathon didn't know if anyone would show up for the first races in 2004. The number of participants could reach ten-thousand for the May 22 and 23 events.
