Over five hundred and fifty runners enjoyed the Cayman Island Marathon. Most of the runners just enjoyed the challenge of the 26.2 mile race. Several participants run for the challenge and the health benefits.

Last year was the first time the Cayman Islands Marathon added the Kids Run in the Sun. It was such a success that the this years group will be even larger. The 9:30 am start time will send hundreds of kids from eight to twelve hustling down toward the finish line.

The sixth annual Cayman Island Marathon is this weekend and will include the half-marathon and four person relay. The islands biggest event will kick off at 5 am in front of Breezes By The Bay Restaurant on the waterfront.

Cayman Coating donated paint to some civic minded students at the St Ignatius High School in the Cayman Islands who painted colorful mile marker signs for the runners of this Sundays Cayman Island Marathon.
