The lead vehicle in the Charleston Marathon took a wrong turn adding about 1/4 mile to the normal 26.2 miles of the marathon last weekend.

More than 4,000 people ran in the Charleston races this past weekend but many were confused by their higher than normal finish times. The longer course came about by a misguided lead vehicle and an improperly place fence along the course.
