Jose Castro took Saturday's Cowtown Marathon in Forth Worth, TX, after passing the leader at mile 19 and never looking back. Castro won in 2:46:56, celebrating by running the last few yards in his stocking feet.

Rival Rahl shook of jet lag and the stress of a flooded home to take the women's field in Saturday's Cowtown Marathon in Fort Worth Texas. She finished in 3:09:41, well off her own personal record of 2:50:00. Shawna Myers, pleased to finish at all, took second after leading for much of the race, with a near dead-heat for the next two spots.
