Vincent Tennariello of Basking Ridge, N.J., won the marathon in 2:54:45, almost nine minutes ahead of Scott Sebelsky of Redding, Conn., who took second (3:03:07). Stacy Juckett of New York City won the women's marathon in 3:30:40.

Stacy Juckett of New York City turned a personal best into victory, taking the women's field in Sunday's Dutchess County Classic Marathon in 3:30:40. Kristen Leavitt of Easton, Conn., finished second with a time of 3:38:10, also a personal best time. High humidity and rain, however, kept the times from being what they could have been.

Vincent Tennariello, a 34-year-old resident of Basking Ridge, N.J., won Sunday's Dutchess County Classic Marathon in 2:54:45, the only runner to finishe in under three hours. Scott Sebelsky took second. He was a last-minute entry who nearly gave up in a downpour.
