Matias Saari is hoping for a relaxing Equinox Marathon at the 47th annual event. Saari is hoping to finish first out of the eight-hundred or so runners that will travel over one of the most grueling marathon courses in the country.

Registrants for the Equinox Marathon are nearing last year's number of eight-hundred and fifty. The growth in relay teams has force race officials to close several roads to allow for the one-hundred plus relays.
