Matt Hooley qualified for the U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials for the second time when he won the Eugene Marathon in course record fashion with a time of 2 hours 18 minutes and 38 seconds. His time qualifies him for the "A" standard for the trials and was a new personal record despite harsh conditions in Eugene.

Joel Gordon, who works at Portland Running Company, ran his first marathon on Sunday at Eugene, finishing 8th overall in a time of 2:35:41.

Matt Hooley won the Eugene Marathon with a time of 2 hours 18 minutes and 38 seconds nearly eight minutes ahead of second place finisher Chad Worthen who ran a time of 2 hours 26 minutes and 36 seconds.
