The thirty-fourth running of Grandma's Marathon will see a registration increase after Labor Day. Registration began July 13 for the June 19, 2010 marathon and half-marathon hosted i Duluth Minnesota.

Joy Larson, 51, was running the Grandma's marathon last month when the heat advisory nearly canceled the race. At mile 19 she was not going to finish. The heat index had climbed to ninety-eight degrees. She told herself it was okay not to finish.
