Chuck Brenker completed the 2009 Hartford Marathon on October 26 and with that goal he had completed his 100th marathon. He says it was not a big deal. He plans on running the JFK 50 miler despite the thought that he may have a stress fracture.

Patrick Moulton took off around the fifth mile of the Harford Marathon and went on to win with a time of 2 hours 25 minutes and 22 seconds. Jeannette Seckinger won the women's marathon with at time of 2 hours 46 minutes 33 seconds.

The ING Hartford Marathon stepped off its 16th edition with more than 10,000 participants in the marathon, half-marathon and 5K races on Saturday morning. Recognized as a Regional Championship by Road Runner's Club of America, the event celebrated its first year as the "Greenest Road Race in America" and enjoyed a strong follow-up year to its inaugural New England's Finest Elite Program from 2008.

Last years Hartford Marathon champ will return to defend his title on Saturday. His time of 2 hours and 21 minutes might be good enough to win again. Jeannette Seckinger won the DC National Marathon earlier this year and hopes to win the Hartford race as well.
